Owner of this home needed more space, they loved their neighborhood and did not want to move, this is where we came in. When the house was originally built the builder converted one of the bedrooms into an ensuite bath and walk-in closet, this left only two bedrooms on the main floor of the house. With the second child coming they did not want to have a young child on a different level of the home but they did not want to give up the ensuite bathroom/walk-in closet.
The design we created returned the existing ensuite bathroom into the bedroom for the new member of the household and we added two separate additions to the house. One side off the master bedroom that provided the new ensuite bathroom/walk-in closet and on the other side a bright sunroom living space off the kitchen. Below the ensuite bathroom addition the full basement provided the home gym/office space.
Now they have the home they want and needed in the neighborhood they did not want to leave – best of both worlds
