After originally building this family’s deck in 2021, tragedy struck when the 2023 Tantallon wildfires destroyed their home. Amid the heartbreak, the family acted quickly to rebuild—not just their house, but their sense of home. In 2024, they returned to the same team they trusted before, asking us to help restore their outdoor space.

The result is a beautifully reimagined exterior living area that balances durability, function, and comfort. We constructed new Trex composite decks at the front and back of the home, ensuring long-term performance with minimal maintenance. A custom retaining wall and paver patio were added to expand usable space and improve the landscape’s structure. Finishing touches in softscaping brought warmth and life back to the property, blending natural beauty with clean, modern design.

What began as a rebuild became a symbol of resilience—an outdoor space the family can enjoy for years to come
