In 2010, the seeds of a new business were planted during a trip to the Grey Cup in Vancouver. Justin, a Chartered Accountant working at a public accounting firm, had begun to realize that life behind a desk wasn’t a long-term fit. His business partner, Brian, recently retired from a successful career in Sales and Management, with some construction-related contract sales, was discovering that fishing every day wasn’t quite enough.
During that trip, the two began discussing the need for professional, quality-driven design-build contractors in the Halifax area. They noticed a gap in the market – exterior renovations were often overlooked or underserved. Though both had grown up around construction, learning hands-on skills while working on a family farm, building their own homes, and pitching in on rural projects, neither had pursued it professionally – until that moment.
The decision was made right there in an airport lounge in Vancouver. Justin, young and ambitious, and Brian, tired of fishing every day, started to put the ball in motion, working evenings and weekends out of their home offices and running demos out of a small utility trailer. By early 2012, they had committed full-time.
What began as a bold leap into the unknown has grown steadily over the years. Today, the company employs a team of over 20 professionals, operates a fleet of vehicles, and delivers high-quality renovation and construction services to nearly 100 clients annually, anchored by the same values of craftsmanship, professionalism, and vision that sparked the journey.
